I think the tube to your hymn was All Things Bright and Beautiful. It was written in 1848, so you should be fine on copyright: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_Things_Bright_and_Beautiful. Also, reusing one hymns tune in another is itself a strong tradition.
